The UPS Store franchise network has been honored by the US Postal Service at the National Postal Forum for its participation in Every Door Direct Mail, which provides small businesses with a cost-effective way to send direct mail. Using Every Door Direct Mail, small business customers work with their local The UPS Store center to create, print and distribute high-quality direct marketing pieces to every address in a designated neighborhood.WORLD'S MOST ADMIRED COMPANIES - FORTUNE
UPS was again named to FORTUNE Magazine's list of "World's Most Admired Companies," ranking among the Top 50 in brand recognition around the world and #1 in the Delivery category.THE UPS STORE NOW REQUIRES PHOTO ID TO SHIP VIA UPS
In an effort to enhance safety and security of its customers and employees, The UPS Store now requires photo ID to ship via UPS. UPS recently announced it is expanding its policy to require customers who ship packages from retail shipping locations to present a government-issued photo ID for verification of identification as part of its ongoing review to enhance security. This directive will apply to all The UPS Store locations as well as UPS Customer Centers, authorized shipping outlets and alliance partners worldwide.
Consumers who tender a shipment through The UPS Store or any retail shipping location will have to present a government-issued photo ID or they will not be permitted to use UPS services. The photo must match the person tendering the shipment. Customers who have prepared shipping labels in advance through one of UPS's various online platforms via ups.com or shipping systems will not be required to present a photo ID.
Valid forms of identification in the US include a current state-issued driver's license or Department of Motor Vehicles ID Card, US or foreign government-issued Passport, US Permanent Resident Card, US military identification or a Native American Tribal Photo Identification Card. Qualifying documentation may vary by country at international retail locations.
SHIPPING CARBON NEUTRAL WITH UPS
Are you conscious about the impact your shipping has on the environment? UPS ships millions of packages each day. We know that our customers are as concerned as we are about the impact shipping has on the environment. That is why, in addition to other sustainability efforts, we offer a carbon neutral shipping option. Your business can reduce its carbon dioxide (CO2) impact while demonstrating your commitment to sustainability.
UPS purchases certified carbon (CO2) offsets to give you a way to balance out the emissions produced by the transportation of your shipments. UPS has supported projects that include reforestation, landfill gas destruction, wastewater treatment and methane destruction.
Using our carbon neutral shipping option lets you demonstrate your commitment to reducing climate impact and enables you and your package recipients to share in that commitment.
When you select our carbon neutral option at the time of shipping, UPS will match the number of offsets purchased through 2011 up to a total of $1 million. Because we have customers around the globe, our goal is to contribute to quality projects worldwide.
